Tips for employing tradesmen & saving money on repairs
They say an Englishman's home is his castle but in reality it is more likely to be a badly extended 3 bed semi containing a plethora of slightly faulty domestic goods and a host of soon to be obsolete technology in various states of disrepair.
To maintain this "lifestyle" requires an army of specialists who can repair and maintain it and know how to obtain those annoying parts and materials that usually have baffling names and numbers.
So what are the best ways to find tradesmen that will actually know their job and not rip you off?

A history of tools through the ages
The long history of hand tools begins not with humans as we recognize ourselves, according to archaeologists, though it in fact begins with the earliest forms of human life. Chimpanzees and other apes who also have opposable thumbs (allowing for the dexterity necessary to handle objects such as tools), use tools in order to gather food and for other means of survival including combat and it is quite naturally assumed they have done so throughout their Darwinian evolutionary process.
